Of course, you can!!

I know, I know. When I started writing I had a vision. I knew what I wanted to write about and who I wanted to help.

I thought my idea was brilliant!! Well, it is, but anyway, this is about my fears and the things that held me back.

I wasn’t sure I could do what other bloggers were doing.

Once I had my idea, I went to get some tips online, I figured there were a couple people who knew about blogging… turns out there are hundreds, probably millions.

I could not believe how many other people are making a living off of blogging and writing… about writing and blogging.

At first, I was inspired. Yay! People DO make a living this way! And then I was discouraged…. Who’s going to want to read my content when there are all of these professional writers/bloggers who already have a ton of great material, tips, tricks and were totally established? But I needed to do this. First, because I love writing and that’s how I want to spend my time. Second, because I want to work for myself, from home.

First, because I love writing and it’s how I’d like to spend my time. Second, because I want to make money on the interwebz and work from home.

The more reading I did, the more I realized that I actually needed advice from a lot of different bloggers.

“Who’s going to want to read my content…”

I needed to be reading Elna Cain’s How To Break Free From Content Mills for Good

and Neil Patel’s 7 Proven Strategies to Increase Your Blog’s Traffic by 206%.

7 Proven Strategies to Increase Your Blog’s Traffic by 206%

Elna inspires me to do what I want to do; she’s a mom like me, and she’s so relatable. Elna has such a relaxed writing tone. When I read her material, I feel like my friend is giving me great advice (seriously, great advice!)

Neil Patel is a marketing genius. He gets my butt in gear, he gives awesome tips to market my website so that it can become the business I want it to be. His marketing never stops, I get daily tweets and emails with as much marketing information as I could ever want.

“But I needed to do this.”

There are so many bloggers out there, it can be intimidating, but their voice, their advice, and their experiences are completely different.

Mine is too, yours are too!

There is a place for every one of us in the blogging world; we all have a unique perspective and we can reach people together.
